I hired Judi Price of First Impression Designs to design a total renovation of my kitchen/family room.
Judi was professional from start to finish on this project. She was easy to work with, punctual and most importantly with this type of renovation, very innovative. I had definite style and color ideas and Judi listened to and supported my concepts, but added her own creative and well thought out suggestions. Her design added more space, light and flow to our existing floor plan. Judi acted as an effective communicator between our contractor and us. She helped to keep our project on target.
The resulting kitchen/family room is beautiful visually, but also so much more navigable than our old one.
I would hire Judi again for other home design projects and highly recommend her to others!

We couldn’t ask for a better experience than what we had while working with Judi from First Impression Designs. We completely gutted our kitchen and Judy handled every piece of the project with ease, demonstrating years of experience and design expertise. She reviewed an existing design we had created by another designer and made a variety of changes to improve the flow and maximize storage space. She accompanied us to every showroom we needed to visit to select our countertops and introduced us to a great tile store we hadn’t been to, helping us choose beautiful products while always keeping our budget in mind. Judi truly went above and beyond, looking into different options to ensure we were able find beautiful products. Judi Price did our kitchen. Every time someone new came into our home, they couldn't say enough positive things. Judi took our love for old things and incorporated them into a high tech working space. We had teak counters, tintype back splash, polished nickel sink areas. These added to the look we wanted and Judi just "listened to and read us" perfectly! She SEES things with an artist's eye and couples that with a respect for cost, your time frame and contractor's schedule. Judy WAS DEPENDABLE!!!! If she made an apt., she kept it. If I had to reschedule, she didn't make me feel like I'd ruined her day. She was someone I always looked forward to seeing and hearing her ideas. There were NO SURPRISES with Judi. She told you what to expect. I always appreciate someone who can be upfront with whatever the situation!

Judi is so good I used her twice! Judi helped me completely renovate my lakefront home lower level. She designed the most amazing kitchen, bar and bathroom. She was there every step of the way to be sure that it turned out to be a master piece, which it is.
She did such a great job I hired her again to remodel my quaint kitchen in my vacation home in New Hampshire. She took a tired, old, cramped kitchen and created another piece of art. My kitchen is now open, bright and functional. Once again, my kitchen is truly the gathering place in my home.

We had been looking for the right interior designer/planner to work on our kitchen make-over. Our project was more of a first-floor redo. It involved a lot of structural changes to supports and headers and covered the kitchen, family room, dining room and hall entry closet. We wanted someone with the skill and experience that could provide us with the change in layout and overall flow of our first floor. We interviewed no less than 7 designers - none of them lined up with the vision we had for our space. THEN WE FOUND JUDI!
After meeting with Judi, we knew that she heard us and was listening to the style and flow we were looking for. She had the experience and "know how" that we needed for the structural updates and the style to match our more contemporary design preferences, without making our space look like it didn't fit with the rest of our home. Judi asked questions about how we "lived" in the space, and how we envisioned living in the space after the project was finalized. She found that we did most of our living in this area and that we needed to plan to accommodate how we lived. We like to be together, so the open concept we were looking for needed to support that idea.
I can't say enough about how happy we are with the final outcome of our kitchen, family room and dining room. Often when we are preparing meals and our daughter is at the breakfast bar doing her homework, my husband and I will check in with each other and say, "how much do you still love our kitchen?" and he responds with, "I love it!"
We can entertain a lot of people, we have enough comfortable seating for big family get-togethers and our first year after renovating, we hosted our entire family for Thanksgiving. Everyone who visits our home is so impressed and loves what was done to change the flow and the look and feel of our space. I would highly recommend Judi for any project you have, large or small.

Judi at First Impression Designs was instrumental in helping us with our Vermont ski getaway. She took a small kitchen footprint and helped us maximize the space - including gaining some inches. The kitchen has become one of my favorite spaces in our cozy ski getaway.
